AFCEA Defensive Cyber Operations Symposium

  • Walter E. Washington Convention Center 801 Mount Vernon Place Northwest Washington, DC, 20001 United States (map)

Early in 2015, the U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency’s operational role in the cyber domain as network defender created a formal relationship between DISA, U.S. Cyber Command and the command’s military service components. A little more than one year later, Defensive Cyber Operations remain vital to the Department’s many missions.  The networks within DOD must be adaptive, resilient, and effective across a range of uses and against diverse threats.  Leveraging technology, promoting agile acquisition, and building new processes and procedures are all solution areas we’ll discuss further at the 2016 Symposium through a mix of plenary addresses, panel sessions, and training tracks in engagement theaters.
